A Music Teacher teaches music classes in elementary to secondary school, or recreationally. May teach general music or specialize in voice or vocal, piano, violin, guitar, band, conductor, or choir instruction.

Job Summary:
As a Music Instructor you will be responsible for all music-education elements within the lessons and rehearsals, creating a dynamic experience to ensure students are challenged and inspired. The Music Instructor positively embodies rock and roll and is responsible for creating a valuable student experience that helps our students learn music and life skills. Roles and Responsibilities:
Deliver private lessons and group rehearsals using the School of Rock Method™ Create and document weekly lesson plans in the Method App Ensure students master core musical fundamentals, not just songs Coach students in set preparation, stage etiquette, and gear load‑in/out; assist with sound‑checks and stage transitions during seasonal shows Model and enforce safe‑sound practices (ear protection at ≥ 85 dB) Communicate with parents on the progress of students by creating quality lesson notes and assignments in the School of Rock Method App for at-home practice Interact with parents and students regularly by being visible and accessible while at the school Pitch in during canceled lessons in the overall execution of the program Assist in rehearsals and with the upkeep of gear and lesson facilities at the school Collaborate with the Music Director to arrange substitutes and support overall program execution
Skill Requirements:
Minimum two (2) + years experience teaching and/or performing music professionally Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design Strong customer relations and communication skills Reliable, organized, and coachable team player Resourceful; good problem-solver Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor Passion for teaching
Working Conditions:
