Job Description

Job Overview Monroe Music Academy is looking for an enthusiastic Guitar Instructor to join our growing teaching team. The ability to teach additional instruments is a strong plus and can lead to a larger student roster. Experience with other instruments not listed may also be considered. This position is ideal for someone with solid musical training who enjoys working with students of various ages and skill levels and is excited about helping them grow musically in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging vocal and music lessons that encourage creativity and musical growth Teach core musical skills such as pitch, rhythm, tone, and basic music theory Adapt lesson plans to match each student's goals, learning style, and experience level Create a positive, encouraging studio environment that supports student confidence and progress Provide individualized instruction and feedback to help students reach their potential Prepare students for recitals, performances, and showcase opportunities Work collaboratively with fellow instructors to support academy-wide programs and events Track student development and adjust teaching approaches as needed Desired Qualifications Strong foundation in guitar and general music skills Prior teaching, coaching, or tutoring experience is preferred but not required Ability to manage lessons effectively while keeping students motivated and engaged Genuine enthusiasm for music education and student success Clear communication skills when working with students, families, and staff Position Details Teaching schedules are built around your availability!
