Job Description

If you're passionate about helping students grow in both skill and confidence, and you bring professionalism, kindness, and creativity to your work, you'll fit right in here. If you are a touring musician who can't work year round, then do not apply. Supertonic School of Music is seeking skilled teachers for guitar. You can teach one instrument or several. Most lessons are group format, if you've never taught groups, we provide paid training and a proven curriculum so you can lead them with confidence. We teach all ages, from preschoolers, to teens, to adults, and all levels, from beginners to advanced players (guitar is 8yrs+, guitar teachers must be able to teach advanced technique and theory to teens and adults). You'll start with a few hours a week and build your schedule as you prove to be a great fit.
Important:
We cannot consider applicants who currently teach for a direct competitor in Williamson County or teach independently in Williamson County. Hours will primarily weekday evenings and late afternoons, some weekday early afternoons, and potentially Saturday Mornings into the early afternoon.
What You'll Do:
Teach engaging, structured lessons that follow our curriculum. Adapt your approach to fit different ages and skill levels. Build strong rapport with students and parents. Provide constructive feedback and track progress. Prepare students for recitals and performances. Keep lessons positive, focused, and inspiring.
What You'll Bring:
Strong skill in your instrument(s). Teaching experience preferred (especially with young children for piano/drums). Advanced knowledge of technique and theory (required for guitar). Classroom and behavior management skills. A love for music and for helping people grow.
