Yes Core Responsibilities :
The Music Department is looking for adjunct instructors to teach the theories and principles of music to a diverse student body. Employees should demonstrate a desire to empower, motivate, and positively influence the lives of students.
Responsibilities:
Teach 39 hours per semester. Advising. Participating in department activities. Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and control the classroom. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications and Experience:
Masters Degree in Music or Music Education or higher, with 18 graduate credit hours in related discipline from an accredited institution. The teaching load will not exceed 9 credits per semester. Evidence of outstanding teaching or teaching potential is essential. Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body. Some walking, climbing stairs, sitting, and standing for long period of time. Ability to lift 10lbs. 1% of the time.
