Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable, professional Piano and/or Guitar Teacher (Drum Set a plus) to join our growing studio. This role is ideal for a teacher looking to build a consistent, long-term teaching schedule, starting with Saturday students and expanding into additional weekday evenings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and a love for teaching students of all ages. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students achieve their musical goals. The music teacher will work primarily with grade school students with the option to teach lessons to preschoolers and adult students if desired. Clear communication, reliability, and attention to detail are essential for this role. This position is best suited for teachers based in Round Rock, North Austin, or nearby areas due to scheduling consistency and commute expectations. Why Join Our Studio? Monthly pay is based on your active student roster and our teachers enjoy a consistent paycheck year round (including holiday months)! Structured schedule with the opportunity to grow your student roster over time. Optional time off. Our studio generally follows the Round Rock ISD school schedule, so if our teachers align their teaching days with the studio's standard teaching days, teachers can enjoy numerous weeks off throughout the year (ie. Thanksgiving, Winter Holiday, Spring Break) as well! Position Details Starting with Saturday students (morning hours) Opportunity to grow into weekday mornings and/or evenings Private lessons (with occasional small group opportunities) Students primarily grade school age, with options for younger children and adults Teachers are expected to maintain a consistent weekly schedule once assigned students. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to various skill levels. Arrive on time, prepared, and organized for each lesson. Teach instrument technique, musical concepts, and performance skills Manage student environment effectively to create an engaging learning atmosphere that's fun, encouraging, and supportive. Adapt teaching to different ages and skill levels Track student progress and communicate clearly with parents Maintain professionalism, positivity and consistency in all interactions You're a great fit if you: Have proven teaching experience in teaching piano and/or guitar Have experience teaching children in a patient, gentle, and compassionate manner Pay attention to detail and follow through reliably Have strong communication and organizational skills. Can build positive relationships with students and parents Are located within a reasonable distance of Round Rock Can pass a background check. Bonus (not required): Teach multiple instruments (piano and/or guitar and drums, etc) Music education background (college or school teaching) Ability to write custom arrangements for your students with sheet music notation programs such as MuseScore.
