MAKE A DIFFERENCE AS AN APPRENTICESHIP INSTRUCTOR
As a Part Time Apprenticeship Instructor at Bridgerland Technical College, you will play a crucial role in providing students with essential technical instruction within a safe and productive learning environment. You will administer and grade tests while diligently maintaining student progress and attendance, all aimed at enhancing student retention and achieving program membership hour goals. Your efforts will also extend to assisting students with job placements and guiding them toward relevant industry or state certifications. By maintaining close contact with local employers, you will gather valuable feedback on curriculum and industry trends, ensuring that our programs align with professional standards. Additionally, you will develop and prepare curricula adjustments based on recommendations from employer advisory teams, while ensuring compliance with college standards and accreditation requirements. Your commitment to student motivation, professionalism, and collaboration within the college community will be vital to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS APPRENTICESHIP INSTRUCTOR JOB
To excel as an Apprenticeship Instructor at Bridgerland Technical College, candidates must bring a wealth of expertise, demonstrated by at least six years of related work experience and the successful completion of a formal apprenticeship program. A current Utah Journeyman Electrician or Plumbing License is essential for ensuring compliance with industry standards. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience, as the ability to convey technical knowledge effectively is critical. Proficiency in word processing, email communication, and operation of a Windows-based personal computer is required to facilitate instructional duties and maintain student communications. Successful candidates will possess exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to work with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds. A commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging learning environment will be vital in motivating and guiding students through their educational and professional journeys.
