Adjunct Welding Instructor (Part-Time)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both orally and in writing 2. Responsibilities and Tasks:

1. Encourage growth through industry connectivity 2. Prepare relevant curriculum for competency based instruction 3. Develop and maintain current program and course outlines, goals and objectives 4. Align class curriculum with industry standards 5. Administer Utah State Board of Education skills tests when teaching secondary students 6. Actively assist in accreditation processes 7. Advise, evaluate, and record student progress 8. Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in respective industry 9. Maintain certifications, licensures and accreditation standards for program area 10. Assist with student recruitment, retention and job placement efforts 11. Create, support, and maintain an active Occupational Advisory Committee and industry partnerships 12. Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area 13. Foster a productive learning and training environment 14. Encourage and exemplify professionalism and good work habits 15. Request and maintain supplies and equipment inventories 16. Propose required budget and purchase requests; follow purchasing guidelines 17. Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports 18. Performs other related duties as assigned This is a part-time, non-benefited position.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Ability to teach

GMAW, SMAW, FCAW, D1.1, 1104

using stainless, aluminum and steel 2. Must successfully pass criminal background check. 3.
