  • CG Music Academy seeks instructors for PIANO.
Instructors who can teach an additional instrument or voice is a plus, but not required. Pay is $66.50/hour for in-home lessons, plus tips! Start date is September 1, or sooner according to availability. Must be able to teach a minimum of 5 hours per week. Lessons take place at our students' homes. Most of our students live in Arlington, VA, so the instructor should live near and be able to travel to students' homes in that area. We also have students in Washington, D.C., so the ability to teach there as well would be a plus.
  • Requirements:
  • Degree in music or music education
  • Minimum 1 year teaching experience
  • Reliable transportation (dependable personal vehicle)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to commit to a 1-year contract
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate weekly lesson schedule
  • Teach weekly in-home lessons
  • Write weekly lesson log for student
  • Assist directors in event coordination and participate in events
  • We handle marketing, billing, and recital logistics. You enjoy flexibility in schedule, superior pay, and a wonderful musical community. We will provide you with mentorship and support. No restrictions on working elsewhere.
