Elementary Music Teacher/Missionary 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Olympia, WA 98506 $42.50 - $80.00 an hour - Full-time, Contract Luke 7:37 Mission 3 reviews $42.50 - $80.00 an hour - Full-time, Contract Are you a passionate educator that loves little kids, getting them dancing, clapping, and making music, and looking for a great opportunity? We're looking for an elementary music teacher that understands that one of the most important things for them as a musician, for the world, and the future of music, is that you are a part of the mission to pass on their knowledge and to inspire others to do great things with music! We are looking for a music educator that understands that teaching music is (and should be) highly relational, and want to develop those relations. We are looking for musicians that want to grow as a musician; and teaching is a guaranteed path to growth if you care about your students and their needs and their growth! Not to mention, what really could be a better job than being a part of a team of great people doing important work in the community that pays well, and they get to choose their own schedule?!! To be qualified you must know all the fundamentals on your instruments, read music, understand time and melody, and be committed to teaching students the same. Must be good people. Professional, effective and on the ball as communicators. Have good time management, and be willing to teach and take the music and the mission seriously. This is a mission. All our faculty love Jesus, are members of a local church, and are committed to making disciples through the mission of music education and developing relationships. We are a mission. We need someone who gets that and lives that, is a believer, a member of a local church, and understands the power of music and relationships as a mission of the gospel. If you are able to teach instruments you could probably get even busier quicker (piano is the most requested instrument). You must know all of your scales and be able to read well to teach melodic and chordal instruments.
