SHS - Director of Mission and Formation Sacred Heart Schools - 4.0 Louisville, KY Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Team leadership Program development Teaching Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Location Sacred Heart Schools Description The Director of Mission and Formation is a full-time twelve-month position that assists the Vice President of Mission and Community in providing programs, retreats, and formation in the Gospels, writings of St. Angela Merici. This position will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and integrating the philosophy, mission, and values of the Ursuline Sisters and Catholic identity through faith formation in all aspects of campus life at SHS. Principal duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensures the inspiration for and facilitates the successful implementation of mission formation at SHS. Develops and/or conducts ongoing Catholic Identity and Ursuline Charism formation of trustees, school personnel, students, parents, and alumni concerning mission, values, and heritage. Works with Campus Ministry Program Manager to provide support to campus personnel and leadership through facilitated retreats and individual contact. Collaborates with VP of Mission and Community to develop campuswide in-service programs. Collaborates with VP of Mission and Community to support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through Catholic Social Teaching at SHS. Develops action steps to support the Strategic Plan and ensures its application as it relates to mission formation. Assists the Campus Ministry Program Manager in the coordination of liturgical masses. Serves as a SHS liaison to the Ursuline Sisters of Louisville and Ursuline Education Network. Coordinates and facilitates St. Angela retreats with all constituents. Organizes and facilitates the Mission Ambassadors from each school across campus. Actively follows and models the writings of St. Angela. Brings the life of St. Angela alive on campus. Sacred Heart Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Requirements Active practicing Catholic. Knowledge of the mission, values, and heritage of the Ursuline Sisters. Master's degree preferred with background in theology, religious studies, ministry, liturgy, education, or a related field. Five to seven years' experience in any one or more of the following: education, pastoral ministry, governance, formation. Ongoing Catechesis Training with the Archdiocese of Louisville. Ability to share faith and to articulate faith experience. Ability to articulate the mission, charism, and history of the Ursuline Sisters. Current knowledge and understanding of theology, liturgy, education, moral and justice issues. Skills necessary for developing and implementing formation program. Ability to teach, listen, lead, support, and build community. Ability to communicate in both written and oral forms with a cross section of groups. A team player, formation director, communicator and a prophet with creativity, flexibility, integrity, and openness. Ability to work independently and/or in teams.
