Job Description:

Adjunct or part time teaching assignments include in person day and evening courses Professors work collaboratively to create a learner centered environment focused on student learning and success. Teaching approaches are expected to include active and collaborative techniques and real-world applications related to animation and digital photography.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Create a community of learners Plan and implement active and collaborative learning and assessment Provide consistent feedback Evaluate achievement Assign grades Maintain student records of attendance, participation, grades, etc. Work collaboratively with divisional staff Monitor email communications from students and the college, and respond in a timely manner Focus on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions.

Participate in instructional development and orientation, department, early college, and college wide activities.

Job Requirements:

Master's degree in animation or closely aligned field Candidates should be fluent with Adobe Animate, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator and have 2D animation experience and strong drawing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with and understanding of the community college environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Capable of maintaining academic standards with empathy and honesty. Knowledge of and experience using effective pedagogical strategies.
