Job Description

Under limited supervision, performs administrative, record-keeping, educational, and technical work in instructing students in the classroom setting. Work involves preparing and delivering lectures and lessons within the appropriate department, and preparing, administering, and grading assessments for all courses, as well as maintaining records of student attendance as required by the North Carolina Community College System. Prepare and submit necessary documentation for compliance. Offer assistance to students outside of class timeTeach Philosophy-related courses and their associated labs both online and in-person on BCC campus; prepare, administer, and grade periodic assessments and assignments; collect program assessment data; and maintain accurate records of student attendance as required by BCC. Master of Arts degree in Philosophy or Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Philosophy Teaching experience at the college level Demonstration of excellent oral & written communication skills Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills with students Ability to use Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook), and Moodle Willingness and ability to teach in-person classes on BCC's main campus Teaching experience at the community college level Experience with classroom technology Experience with outcome assessment Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Moodle/Canvas
