Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid certification in Adaptive Physical Education or Physical Education with necessary state endorsements Previous experience working with students with diverse abilities preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes, accommodations, and modifications Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff, families, and students Ability to motivate, encourage, and support students in achieving their physical education goals

Responsibilities:

Develop and adapt physical education lessons that accommodate each students needs and abilities Create a positive and safe classroom climate where students are encouraged to participate and succeed Participate in IEP meetings, implement IEP goals, and track student progress toward objectives Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to integrate adaptive strategies Maintain accurate documentation related to student performance and program implementation Engage with families to support student growth, answer questions, and foster trust
