Approximately 70% of the position will focus on planning and delivering engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education lessons aligned with California physical education standards, and approximately 30% of the position will support classroom instruction across grade levels and subject areas as a roving, long-term substitute teacher. The PE/Roving Long-Term Substitute Teacher will promote student health, fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, motor development, confidence, and positive participation through structured physical activities, games, fitness routines, and skill-building lessons appropriate for TK-8 students. In the substitute portion of the role, the teacher will follow classroom lesson plans, maintain routines, support student learning, manage student behavior, and ensure continuity of instruction when regular teachers are absent. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, energetic, student-centered, organized, and able to build positive relationships with students, staff, families, and administration while supporting the school's physical education program and daily operational needs.
