Qualifications Certified physical education teacher in the state of Indiana as regulated by the State Certification Department or an Adjunct Teacher License. Preferred candidates should be able to demonstrate progressive planning and pedagogy, know and understand exercise physiology, motor learning and have a willingness to focus activities on lifetime fitness. Candidates must be able to develop and sustain a program of study that encourages an active lifestyle and "fitness for life" based on state and national standards. Candidates must be proficient in formative and summative assessment and the use of technology and desire to enhance maximum participation-maximum movement in daily classes. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
