Job Overview We are seeking a kind, organized, and energetic Elementary Physical Education (PE) Teacher to inspire young learners to develop a lifelong love for movement, health, and wellness. In this role, you will design engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate physical education lessons for students in grades K-5. We have all the equipment you will need to implement fun, engaging activities to get kids moving. Our schedule details 30 minute classes for grades K-5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The PE day starts just after 11am and finishes at 3:20pm. Responsibilities Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate PE lessons that incorporate various sports, games, and fitness activities aligned with curriculum standards. Adapt instruction to meet diverse learning styles and accommodate students with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or in special education programs. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment conducive to active learning. Assess student performance regularly through observations. Experience Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying developmental needs. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management strategies, and curriculum implementation for young learners. Familiarity with educational compliance standards, including safety regulations and inclusive teaching practices for students with special needs. Excellent communication skills for engaging students, collaborating with colleagues, and maintaining positive relationships.
