Job Description The Hannibal Central School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Physical Education Teacher. This is a full-time, tenure-track position. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is passionate about promoting lifelong health and wellness, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment, and inspiring our students to develop positive habits through physical activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate physical education lessons aligned with New York State standards
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment that encourages all students to participate and succeed
- Promote lifelong fitness, teamwork, and healthy decision-making through a variety of physical activities
- Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth
- Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and families to support the overall well-being of students

NYS Certification in Physical Education. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of all ages
Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive classroom culture
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A genuine passion for student wellness and physical development

Interest in contributing to the district's athletics program, including a willingness to coach in the future
Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
