Job Description

Buxmont Academy, a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school, is seeking for a 2026-2027 academic year part-time health & PE teacher for our campus in Feasterville, PA. If you are a dedicated and caring teacher who enjoys working with at-risk students, has excellent interpersonal skills, and relishes learning and new experiences, this position is for you!

Schedule:
Tuesday & Friday, 11am-3pm
Wage:
$25.00 Benefits include competitive salary, 401K retirement plan, free professional development offerings (ACT 48 Credit eligible), Employee Assistance Program, and the opportunity to receive a free graduate certificate in restorative practices from the IIRP Graduate School. Buxmont Academy has 6 campuses in southeastern PA and uses restorative practices to encourage students to grow academically and emotionally. Classes are small with a high teacher to student ratio, and our staff work together as a part of an educational team for each student.
Qualified candidates:
Will have a bachelor's degree or higher in health & PE education or similar field, and either PA teaching certification or the ability to obtain private teaching certification. We welcome qualified candidates who are interested in becoming teachers. We also welcome retired teachers who miss being in the classroom!
Required Skills/Abilities:
Desire to teach secondary school-aged students and ability to adapt to their developmental status. Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high stress situations. Strong verbal and written communication skills. The capacity to work effectively both independently and with a team. Proficient computer skills. Buxmont Academy is an EOE employer.
