Job Description

Position:
Part-Time Physical Education Teacher Grade Levels:
Grade K-8
Schedule:
Part-Time (1 day/week) St. Gregory School in Zelienople is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Part-Time Physical Education Teacher to provide engaging and organized PE classes to students Grades K through 8. We are looking for a dedicated, student-centered candidate who will foster an appreciation for physical health and activity while creating a safe, positive, Christ- centered, and interactive learning environment. The applicant should be committed to the academic, personal, and spiritual formation of our students, demonstrating the value of sportsmanship, character development, and fostering meaningful relationships through physical activity.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree Valid Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Physical Education, Health, Elementary/MS Education, or related field. Experience teaching elementary to middle school-aged students preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and group management skills. Ability to engage young learners through safe, encouraging, interactive, and creative instructional practices. Willingness to incorporate Catholic teachings and history into subject matter, creating a Christ-centered learning environment/classroom. Teacher will be expected to comply with Act 48 and the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Pittsburgh Equip ministry formation requirements.
Note:
There is a possibility of combining with a 1.5 day/week Grades 3-8 Spanish assignment, with the appropriate certification or background.
