Summary:
Provide support to the Physical Education Teacher in all tasks regarded as necessary in the conduct of a class both in and outside of the classroom and school building.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist Physical Education Teacher with all tasks assigned by the teacher. Assist Physical Education Teacher in supervision of children. Assist Physical Education Teacher with ensuring the safety of students in physical education activities. Assist Physical Education Teacher in maintaining an inventory and ensure safe working condition of all health and physical education equipment. Assist the Physical Education Teacher by ensuring the safety and health of all students by notifying the teacher/administrator of any unsafe conditions. Participate in appropriate in-service and workshop programs and attend required meetings. Assist the Physical Education Teacher in managing student behavior in accordance with Student Code of Conduct and student handbook. Be a positive role model for students, support mission of school.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of physical education terminology and practices Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Ability to communicate effectively
