Job Description

The Department of Natural Sciences at Lawrence Technological University (LTU) is seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty to teach in-person developmental and introductory physics lecture and laboratory courses. Adjunct faculty are expected to maintain accurate course records and syllabi, deliver effective instruction to students, and be available within reason for student assistance outside regular classroom hours. Adjunct faculty are welcome to take advantage of professional development opportunities offered by LTU and our Center for Teaching and Learning. We are currently looking for qualified candidates for the spring 2027 semester and beyond. Our spring 2027 semester classes begin on January 11th 2027. Adjunct faculty are considered contingent employees at the University, hired on an as-needed basis. An appointment as an adjunct faculty member does not establish an ongoing employment relationship with LTU. At this time, we are looking to expand our pool of qualified individuals to call upon in the future as the need arises. Review of applications will begin immediately. To apply, please submit the following documents via email to nschair@ltu.edu with the subject line "Physics Adjunct Search 2027."
