293526425 Report this job Apply Now Save To My Profile Email Print Job Description Summary of Position Teach physics courses and associated laboratory courses at the baccalaureate level. Courses may include general education science courses, introductory courses for physics majors, and upper-division physics courses. Responsibilities include preparing and delivering lectures; organizing and supervising laboratory sections; developing in-class learning activities; writing and grading examinations and laboratory reports; and holding office hours to address student questions and provide additional academic support. Maintain an inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment needed for laboratory and lecture courses and submit order requests to departmental administrative support in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include participating in course and program assessment, curriculum development and improvement, and other education-related activities. Encouraged to incorporate innovative instructional methods and educational enrichment activities, including demonstrations, supplemental videos, and student projects. This appointment focused primarily on teaching and does not include scholarly activity expectations. Teaching responsibilities appropriate to the term appointment, with minimal service expectations. Service may include participation in department, college, and university activities; student advising; and community outreach. Position Information Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments, and university officials via university provided tools and resources.An Institution of Opportunity:

At least an earned Master of Science degree or higher in physics; teaching experience in physics coursework at the college level.Preferred Qualifications:
