Postgraduate Degree Job Description Redlands Community College is seeking qualified candidates for an adjunct teaching position in our Uncrewed and Autonomous Aircraft Systems/Drone Technology program, funded in part by the National Science Foundation. This part-time, adjunct faculty role will provide on-site instruction in one or more courses related to drone technology, flight principles, FAA Part 107, and drone-based videography, photography, and mapping applications. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Teach classroom and hands-on drone/SUAS courses, including the preparation and delivery of lectures related to drone operations, safety procedures, regulatory compliance, mission planning, and industry applications Conduct flight training for beginner and intermediate level pilots Support curriculum integrity in collaboration with the Principal Investigator Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment, and training activities Supervise student projects involving mapping, aerial photography, agriculture, inspection, public safety, and monitoring Collaborate with faculty, industry, and workforce partners to support program growth, and internship opportunities Support accreditation, grant-funded activities, and program assessment initiatives when applicable Follow the official Redlands Community College academic course calendar, including designated start/end times, holiday breaks, and all policies related to grade submission and posting Assess student achievement and foster progress toward established learning objectives Interact with students in an effective, supportive, and encouraging manner both individually and in group settings Qualifications include: Master's degree in the teaching discipline or a master's degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline required, or tested experience in accordance with our Standard of Practice - Minimally Qualified Faculty. Given the technical nature of this position, qualification will most likely be a combination of academic qualifications and tested experience.
