Job Description

FACULTY:
Instructor of Political Science Description Eastern Oklahoma State College is a comprehensive community college providing instruction in a wide range of curricula.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in political science or social science or related discipline with 18 graduate hours preferred in political science or closely related field. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to the mission of Eastern Oklahoma State College Other related faculty duties as assigned
Preferred:
Prior college teaching experience, developing and instructing courses by technology-based delivery systems. Doctorate in a social and behavioral science field or a legal degree
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will teach courses in Political Science and related courses. Responsibilities include teaching 15 credits each semester, developing curriculum, advising, departmental and institutional service, and pursuing continuing professional development. Position may require teaching by interactive video and online, and at satellite campuses. Candidates selected for interviews will be required to make a teaching presentation as part of the interview process. Teaching must demonstrate learner-centered philosophy and ability to engage and retain students. Willingness to recruit to build programs. Advise students for career preparedness for the workforce Advise clubs/organizations on campus
Salary:
Compensation will commensurate with education and experience.
