The Department of Political Science at Baylor University seeks a full-time, Regular Lecturer in American Politics to begin August 2027. The primary teaching responsibility will be teaching
PSC 1387
The U.S. Constitution, Its Interpretation, and the American Political Experience , a general education course required of nearly all undergraduates. Additionally, the candidate may have the opportunity to develop other American politics courses. The ability to develop other introductory courses in a second subfield would be welcome, but not expected. Regular Lecturer appointments are renewable full-time, benefits-eligible, teaching-focused positions with six-year promotion paths to Senior Lecturer for successful candidates and twelve-year promotion paths to Teaching Professor for highly successful candidates. Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Ph.D. in political science or a related field by the time of appointment. Teaching experience is preferred.
