Job Description

Job Description We are partnering with a growing, high-quality preschool focused on child-centered learning to hire an Center Director to lead daily operations, staff development, and overall perfomance of the center. This individual will play a key leadership role in creating a warm, welcoming environment for children, families, and educators, while ensuring the delivery of a consistent, developmentally appropriate curriculum rooted in Montessori principles. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about early childhood education, values community, and is excited to build a strong culture where both children and educators can thrive.
Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the preschool, including enrollment management, staffing, scheduling, coaching and overall program delivery Oversee curriculum implementation to ensure alignment with developmentally appropriate practices and Montessori learning approaches Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and compliant environment in accordance with state licensing and health and safety regulations Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate teaching staff; foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture Partner with families as the primary point of contact, building strong relationships and maintaining clear, consistent communication Manage administrative functions including budgeting, resource planning, and operational workflows Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and program compliance Collaborate with internal support functions (HR, payroll, marketing, accounting, IT) and senior leadership Evaluate program effectiveness, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to curriculum, operations, and policies Ensure consistent program quality and alignment across classrooms We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field 5+ years of experience in early childhood education, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role Strong understanding of early childhood development and best practices in program administration Extensive knowledge of state licensing requirements, health and safety standards, and regulatory compliance Experience managing staff, budgets, and daily operational functions within a preschool or childcare setting Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with parents, staff, and leadership Ability to build a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Experience working in Montessori based learning environments Experience with program development, curriculum design, or educational innovation Background in enrollment management, growth strategies, or program expansion Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
