A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Summary Work Schedule 10:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

Palm School Must have 48 completed college units (with a "C" grade or higher), 6 of those college units must be in child development.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have an AA Degree and/or meet NCLB requirements with 6 units in early childhood education. AA degree preferred in early childhood education. Proof of 48 completed college units with a "C" grade or higher, 6 units in early childhood education or NCLB Certificate with 6 units in early childhood education must be provided. Must have a valid CA drivers license Must have a valid First Aid and CPR certificate Copy of Transcript (Copy of college transcript) Driver's License Copy Letter(s) of Recommendation Resume Comments and Other Information Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Maintain personal responsibility for maintenance of all licenses, permits and vaccinations. Provide proof of having had or obtain MMR and Pertussis vaccinations and a physical exam including TB screening (for licensing) prior to employment at employees' expense. Obtain a flu vaccination annually within required timelines.
