We are a small family-owned child care center looking for a Director with proven experience in early childhood education. The Director will assist and follow directives from the executive director/owners of our childcare facility. Responsibilities might include organizing, coordinating and maintaining the center and its programs for students to learn and be cared for. The Director must be able to interact with children and parents on a day-to-day basis with the upmost of customer service. They should be able to deal with unexpected situations that pertain to students, parents and staff in a professional and respectful manner. The Director will be faced with multiple duties; including but not limited to the following. Responsibilities may evolve over time to meet the needs of the center, in coordination with and at the discretion of the Owners/Executive Director. Duties Manage daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety protocols Lead and motivate a team of teachers, caregivers, and support staff to deliver exceptional childcare services Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote childhood development, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities Oversee classroom management to create a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity and social-emotional growth Maintain open communication with families, addressing concerns and providing updates on children's progress Ensure all staff are trained in first aid, behavior management, and inclusive practices for working with children with disabilities or special needs Monitor health and safety standards rigorously, including sanitation procedures and emergency preparedness Requirements Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus Experience with behavior management strategies and caregiving techniques for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff and engage families positively Responsibilities

  • Approve and supervise the curriculum
  • Conduct teacher training/observations
  • Build team morale
  • Answer phones and inquiries
  • Manage enrollment and waitlist
  • Hire and properly train new teachers
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are being followed Skills
  • Proven experience as a Early Childhood Education Teacher
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Ability to act as mediator between children
  • Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
  • Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
  • Certification in child CPR
