A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description

The Goddard School® located in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver is looking for a motivated self-starter for an Assistant Director's position at our school. A Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, and management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool is required. Candidates must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and have a good understanding of age-appropriate activities for young children. The Goddard School® is a renowned Early Childhood Education program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and an active learning approach. The Assistant Director responsibilities include:
Overseeing preschool operations including human resources, staffing, quality assurance, and facility operations Developing strong relationships with our families and staff Complying with state childcare licensing regulations Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment Demonstrating highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education The Goddard School®
