Your Mission The Academy Director's primary responsibility is not managing classrooms. It is developing the adults who shape children's lives. What You'll Do As the founding Academy Director, you will: Recruit, hire, coach, and inspire an exceptional team of movement-based early childhood educators. Build a culture where teachers continually grow in their belief that every child is capable of remarkable things. Lead the successful launch and daily operation of Momentum Mini-Movers Academy while protecting the philosophy upon which it was founded. Coach teachers through observation, encouragement, reflection, and professional development rather than simple supervision. Build trusted, authentic partnerships with families through honest communication and shared purpose. Ensure every child experiences an environment that is physically active, emotionally safe, intellectually engaging, and deeply joyful. Establish the traditions, rhythms, and culture that will define the academy for years to come. Collaborate with Momentum's leadership team to continually strengthen and refine the program. Qualifications Meet Colorado licensing requirements for directing an early childhood education program. Experience leading or supervising early childhood educators. Demonstrated success building strong teams and positive organizational culture. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with families and staff. Passion for movement-based learning and whole-child development. A collaborative leadership style rooted in coaching, mentorship, and continual improvement.
