This leadership role is ideal for an experienced childcare professional who is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff. Position Overview The Assistant Director supports the Center Director in the daily operations of the childcare center, including staff management, classroom support, licensing compliance, family communication, and curriculum implementation. Requirements CDA (Child Development Associate) Credential required Previous experience in childcare or preschool leadership preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of state licensing regulations and safety standards Reliable, professional, and team-oriented CPR/First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Responsibilities Assist with daily center operations and classroom management Support and mentor teaching staff Ensure compliance with licensing and health regulations Maintain positive relationships with parents and families Help oversee scheduling, attendance, and staff coverage Support curriculum planning and child development goals Handle administrative tasks and center communications Promote a positive, professional workplace culture Schedule & Compensation 40 hours per week Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications Paid holidays and vacation time Professional development opportunities Supportive team environment and growth potential
