Position Overview The Preschool Director provides comprehensive spiritual, operational, academic, and administrative leadership for our faith-based private school ministry. Operating under First Baptist Church of Hypoluxo, Inc. (DBA Hypoluxo Baptist Preschool), the Director is directly responsible for:- Fostering a Christ-centered environment for children, families, and staff.
- Maintaining total compliance with the Florida Department of Health in Palm Beach County Child Care Licensing Program.
- Managing state contracts, funding compliance, developmental screenings, and quality assessments through the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) of Palm Beach County Provider Services Portal.
- Overseeing core tuition invoicing and payment recording operations. II. Key Responsibilities & Essential Duties 1. Spiritual & Ministry Leadership
Faith Integration:
Embed core Christian values, biblical instruction, chapel programs, and prayer into daily routines and learning activities.Ministry Alignment:
Collaborate with church leadership, executive pastors, or the preschool committee to support the school's overarching spiritual vision and mission.Culture & Community:
Cultivate a grace-filled, loving, high-integrity workplace and serve as a spiritual support resource for school families. 2. Palm Beach County Licensing & ComplianceYearly Licensing Renewals:
Prepare, compile, and submit all annual childcare licensing renewal applications, inspection documents, and operational fees to the Palm Beach County Health Department Child Care Licensing Program prior to state deadlines.Inspection Readiness:
Always ensure complete facility readiness for unannounced state/county licensing inspections, fire code audits, and health and sanitation evaluations.Record Maintenance:
Keep updated personnel files, Level 2 background clearances, health records, and CPR/First Aid credentials posted and on file as required by local ordinance. 3. ELC Provider Portal & Compliance AdministrationPortal Operations:
Maintain and update provider profiles, room configurations, operating hours, and teacher assignments on the state Division of Early Learning (DEL) Provider Portal.Contract Management:
Execute and upload annual contracts, addendums, and compliance documents for School Readiness (SR) and Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) programs.Attendance Tracking:
Submit daily student attendance, reconcile monthly attendance rosters, and upload required sign-in/sign-out sheets to secure accurate state reimbursements.- Quality Performance System (QPS): Upload all necessary center metrics into the Florida DEL QPS Portal to fulfill program evaluations and maintain state quality standards.
Child Screenings:
Manage the administration of mandatory developmental screenings (e.g., Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ)) and upload results within mandated state timelines. 4. Operational & Private School ManagementDaily School Operations:
Direct day-to-day school activities, enforcing safety standards, emergency protocols, hygiene, and classroom ratios.Enrollment & Admissions:
Oversee student recruitment, enrollment agreements, and local funding voucher/subsidy management.Private Accreditation:
Maintain standards and documentation aligned with faith-based accreditation organizations. 5. Staff Leadership & Educational QualityStaff Management:
Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff who share the school's faith mission.Curriculum Standards:
Supervise the implementation of state-approved, faith-integrated curricula that align with Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards.Professional Development:
Track and support staff training hours to fulfill local Palm Beach County childcare personnel requirements. 6.Financial Administration:
Invoicing & Payment ProcessingInvoice Generation:
Draft, customize, and issue tuition, fee, and facility invoices to parents or organizations using QuickBooks Online Invoicing.Payment Recording:
Receive and manually record cash, check payments by selecting + New > Receive Payment in QuickBooks Online. III. Candidate Qualifications & RequirementsSpiritual Commitment:
Active Christian faith commitment, agreement with the doctrinal statement of First Baptist Church of Hypoluxo, Inc., and active local church membership.State Credentials:
Valid Florida Active Director Credential with Advanced Level endorsement.Experience:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years in an early childhood setting; at least 1 year in a supervisory or director role within a faith-based or private school setting.Licensing Knowledge:
Direct experience successfully preparing and submitting annual licensing renewals through the Palm Beach County Health Department and Florida DCF.Technical & Financial Skills:
Proven proficiency in navigating the Florida Division of Early Learning Provider Services Portal, QPS Portal, and QuickBooks Online (creating invoices and posting customer payments).Clearances:
Must pass Level 2 Background Screening and maintain valid First Aid/CPR certifications. IV. Legal, Compliance & Physical Requirements- Ministerial Exception /

Must be able to safely navigate preschool classrooms, playground facilities, and campus grounds. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs to assist children or handle unexpected center emergencies. - Pay will vary based off experience
