A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

With 51 centers and expanding, we are committed to delivering high-quality early learning experiences that empower children, support families, and strengthen communities. About the Role We are seeking an experienced, people-first Area Director to join our leadership team and oversee multiple centers in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas . This multi-unit leader will directly manage and support Center Directors, ensuring operational excellence, strong team culture, enrollment growth, and a consistently high standard of care across each location. While experience in early childhood education is a plus, it is not required. We are looking for a proven multi-unit operator with strong leadership skills, excellent business acumen, and a passion for developing people. What You'll Do
  • Lead, coach, and support Center Directors to deliver operational excellence and strong educational outcomes
  • Drive center-level performance including enrollment, staffing, compliance, financial results, and family satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators across your region, providing hands-on support and accountability
  • Develop team culture, ensure effective communication, and identify high-potential talent for future growth

  • 3-5+ years of multi-unit leadership experience , ideally in a customer-facing industry (e.g. retail, restaurant, hospitality, healthcare, fitness, etc.)
  • A strong track record of coaching managers, building high-performing teams, and scaling operations across multiple sites
  • Operational and financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and organizational priorities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel regularly between centers in Atlanta, GA.
