POSITION SUMMARY
The Preschool Director provides Christ-centered leadership for FBA's Preschool Ministry, creating a safe and welcoming environment where preschoolers are introduced to biblical truth and a foundation is established for a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. This role partners with parents, equips staff and volunteers, and provides leadership for preschool ministry programs and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a growing and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ Must align with the beliefs, values, and mission of FBA Must be a current member of FBA or enrolled in First Class with the intention of becoming a member within the first three months of employment Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education, Christian Education, Ministry, or a related field preferred Previous leadership experience in Preschool Ministry, Children's Ministry, or a related field Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, develop, and lead staff and volunteers Strong interpersonal and relational skills with the ability to effectively partner with parents, staff, and volunteers Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to develop and implement ministry goals, programs, procedures, and priorities Must support and model FBA's culture and service expectations, including the Red Carpet Standard (H.E.A.R.T.) and 3M Strategy
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide spiritual and operational leadership for Preschool Ministry in alignment with the mission, beliefs, and doctrine of FBA Plan, oversee, and evaluate comprehensive ministry programming that provides preschoolers with a strong biblical foundation Partner with parents and caregivers, providing communication, resources, and opportunities that support discipleship in the home Recruit, train, equip, schedule, and develop staff and volunteers for effective ministry to preschoolers and families Lead and supervise Preschool Ministry staff, providing clear expectations, accountability, encouragement, and ongoing development Ensure curriculum, teaching, and ministry practices are biblically grounded and aligned with FBA's Statement of Faith Create safe, secure, sanitary, welcoming, and age-appropriate environments for preschoolers Ensure appropriate safety, security, check-in, and child-protection practices are followed in alignment with FBA policies Plan and oversee Preschool Ministry programs, activities, events, and other opportunities that support spiritual growth and family engagement Provide leadership and oversight for Event Care, ensuring safe, welcoming, and well-coordinated childcare for approved church-wide ministries, programs, and events Develop strategies to welcome, engage, and follow up with preschool families and connect them to the life of FBA Develop and steward the annual Preschool Ministry budget and other ministry resources responsibly Establish ministry goals and regularly evaluate effectiveness, engagement, volunteer development, and opportunities for improvement Collaborate with the Director of Children's Ministry, Disciple Life, and other FBA ministries to support church-wide programs, events, and initiatives
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Support the overall ministry and mission of FBA Model an authentic Christian witness through personal conduct, relationships, integrity, and servant leadership Participate in ministry events, outreach opportunities, and church-wide initiatives as required Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable FBA and ministry policies Pursue appropriate ministry and professional development Perform other related duties as assigned Faithfully tithe income
