The Assistant Director is a key leader who helps ensure the success of our preschool by supporting daily operations, developing teachers, building partnerships with families, and maintaining a culture of excellence. This role helps balance high-quality early childhood education with exceptional care and customer service. Minimum Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a preschool or early childhood education setting. Strong communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of state licensing requirements and health and safety regulations. Passion for early childhood education and child development. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Previous Assistant Director, Curriculum Coordinator, or Preschool Leadership experience. CPR and First Aid Certification. Experience coaching teachers and supporting curriculum implementation. Knowledge of Quality Rated standards and best practices in early childhood education. Responsibilities Support the Director in overseeing daily preschool operations. Ensure the safety, security, and well-being of every child, family, and staff member. Lead with our "Hug First, Then Teach" philosophy by creating a warm, welcoming, and relationship-focused environment. Support and monitor the implementation of our daily curriculum across all classrooms. Ensure lesson plans are meaningful, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with school expectations. Coach and mentor teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences that promote kindergarten readiness and a love of learning. Build strong relationships with families through open communication and partnership. Ensure compliance with all state licensing requirements and company policies. Assist with staff scheduling, training, onboarding, and performance evaluations. Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Support enrollment efforts, family tours, and community engagement activities. Help maintain a positive school culture centered on safety, education, teamwork, and excellence.
