A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description

The Early Childhood Manager in Training (ECMT) program is designed to provide passionate employees with the tools to be successful in a managerial role. This DIT will support our Director and Assistant Director with the day-to-day operations at our centers and would help with management responsibilities such as family tours, candidate interviews, and most importantly, teach the children in the classroom. The DIT program helps you learn the "New Horizon" way and gives you the opportunity to apply/interview for future management opportunities as an internal candidate. New Horizon Academy is a leader in Early Childhood Development profession. Our growth will generate leadership opportunities in various locations. Our ECMT training program is a great opportunity to launch your leadership career! We are seeking professionals who have experience in childcare who would like to engage in a formal training program geared toward a management role at one of our centers. The ECMT program includes rotations at our centers and at our corporate office with a variety of mentors/trainers so that the ECMT's receive training on key areas such as curriculum execution, licensing, ProCare (enrollment/ tuition program), parent/customer relations and other key skills that Directors must possess. Upon completion of the program ECMT candidates are given priority consideration for management opportunities such as Curriculum Coordinator, Assistant Director and Director roles. Candidates must be organized, detailed orientated, self-motivated, reliable and able to lead in a diverse environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred. Meet Program Administrator qualifications for NAEYC accreditation. Knowledge of

Salary:
$44,500 E.O.E.
