The primary focus is maintaining 100% compliance with DCFS licensing standards, managing staff development, and fostering strong relationships with families. Also, providing Christian values within the scope of education.
Key Responsibilities Teaching:
Educating the children according to the guidelines of the Curriculum.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the center consistently meets or exceeds all DCFS licensing requirements, including staff-to-child ratios, facility safety, health records, and background check documentation.
Personnel Management:
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of qualified early childhood educators. Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate professional development.
Curriculum Leadership:
Oversee the implementation of a high-quality, Christian, age-appropriate curriculum that meets early learning standards.
Family Engagement:
Act as the primary point of contact for parents, handling tours, enrollment, and conflict resolution with a professional and empathetic approach.
Financial Oversight:
Working with the Office Manager to Manage the center's budget, including tuition collection, payroll, and supply procurement.
Safety & Wellness:
Maintain rigorous health and safety protocols, overseeing emergency drills and ensuring the facility is clean and well-maintained.
Required Qualifications & Certifications DCFS Director Qualification:
Must meet all state-specific requirements to be a designated Director.
Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Clearance:
Must pass a comprehensive DCFS background check, including fingerprinting, a medical physical with a TB test and drug test.
Essential Skills Leadership:
Ability to motivate a team, maintain high staff morale and nurture a strong Christian environment.
Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written skills for interacting with state officials, staff, and parents.
Organization:
Mastery of record-keeping and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
Tech Savvy:
Proficiency with childcare management software and basic office suites.
Pay:
$49,635.20 - $60,000.00 per year
