Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS
College / University with 6 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or related field. Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices. Strong written and communication skills. A combination of infant, toddler or preschool teaching experience. Strong leadership, supervisory and customer service skills. Computer literacy. Flexibility with schedule. Must meet state educational and licensing requirements for an assistant director.
AS A LEADER
You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the child development program which encompasses but is not limited to: Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives. Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children. Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners. Serve in various roles throughout the center as needed including director, teacher. Following the application of weekly plans based on Creative Curriculum Guidelines and monthly themes in the classrooms. Meeting the individual needs of the children by interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning. Guiding and following up with the teachers designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom. Supervising teachers for creating positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning. Building teamwork. Using assessment tools and observations to track individual teacher development. Committing to continuing education.
