A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate center director to lead our preschool facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience in managing educational programs. As the center director, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and fostering positive relationships with families and staff. Your leadership will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of our students.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the center, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement high quality educational programs that meets the needs of children from infancy through preschool.
  • Supervise and support teaching staff and providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure safe, clean, and engaging environment for all children in care.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and families, addressing their concerns, and promote open communication.
  • Maintain accurate records related to enrollment, attendance, and child assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements and health regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education/related field (relevant experience will be considered)
  • Previous childcare experience in a licensed center
  • At least one year of management experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment the support children's development
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in Early Childhood education.

  • 40,000-50,000 a year Benefits
