Job Description

Sea Stars Early Learning Center is a high-quality early childhood education program dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children and families. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Childcare Center Director to lead our program and ensure excellence in education, operations, and compliance. Position Summary The Childcare Center Director is responsible for the overall management of day to day operations including regulatory compliance, staff supervision, enrollment management, family engagement, and program quality. The Director will foster a positive learning environment for children while supporting and developing a strong team of educators. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the childcare center. Ensure compliance with all Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations. Recruit, supervise, coach, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff. Maintain appropriate staffing levels and classroom ratios. Manage enrollment, tours, and family communications. Develop and monitor program budgets and financial performance. Support curriculum implementation and continuous quality improvement. Maintain accurate records and prepare for licensing visits and inspections. Foster strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the community. Qualifications Massachusetts EEC Director I or Director II certification required (Director II preferred). Minimum age of 21 years as required by EEC regulations. Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or a related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in an early childhood education setting. Strong knowledge of Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Experience with enrollment management, staff development, and family engagement.
