A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

We're looking for an experienced and passionate Center Director to lead one of our early childhood education centers. As Center Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the center while building a positive culture for children, families, and staff. You'll have the opportunity to mentor teachers, partner with parents, and ensure that every child receives an exceptional early learning experience. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of daily center operations Ensure the delivery of a high-quality early childhood education program Recruit, hire, develop, and retain outstanding teachers and support staff Coach, mentor, and evaluate employees while fostering a positive team culture Build strong, trusting relationships with families through excellent communication and customer service Plan and support family engagement events and ongoing parent communication Maintain enrollment through exceptional family experiences and community outreach Ensure compliance with all Maryland licensing regulations and company policies Manage staffing, scheduling, classroom ratios, and daily operations Create a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff Collaborate with company leadership to achieve operational and educational goals Qualifications Must be Director-qualified in the state of Maryland Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field strongly preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience leading or managing a licensed childcare center At least 3 years of classroom teaching experience with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Comfortable using computers and common office software Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors as needed Passion for early childhood education and a genuine commitment to helping children, families, and teachers succeed If you're an experienced early childhood leader who enjoys building strong teams, supporting families, and creating exceptional learning environments, we'd love to hear from you.
