Immediate Opening About Somos Early Learning Somos Early Learning is a nurturing preschool dedicated to high-quality care and learning for children ages 2-5. We're seeking an organized, proactive Preschool Director to lead daily operations and grow our program.

Lead 8-12 teachers/assistants; licensed capacity up to 73 students.

Community growth:

Help drive excellent family retention and enrollment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily center operations and ensure compliance with Maryland Office of Child Care (OCC) regulations and safety procedures. Recruit, coach, train, and retain a highly qualified team; manage scheduling and timesheets. Oversee enrollment, registration, tours, and parent onboarding to drive growth. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and family communications in Brightwheel. Manage accounts receivable/payable; review and approve payroll; support audits/licensing; prepare monthly reports. Maintain supply inventory Maintain a professional, welcoming environment for families and staff. Use social media (e.g., Facebook) for program updates and community engagement. Other duties as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications Bilingual:

Spanish and English. Ability to pass a background check and meet all childcare licensing requirements. Associate's degree or higher with at least 15 semester hours in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent per Maryland regulations). Maryland 45-hour Director course. 2+ years of supervised experience in a licensed center. Proven experience as a director or similar leadership role. Strong written/verbal communication, organization, time management, and multitasking. Comfortable with digital tools/technology (e.g., Brightwheel, social media). Preferred Qualifications Experience with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software). Hands-on experience with Brightwheel (or similar childcare platform). Prior preschool/daycare teaching experience in Maryland. Experience with Pre-K Expansion and/or Head Start. Grant management experience. Benefits Paid Time Off Holiday Pay Childcare Discount 401(k)
