Job Description

At Bright Wonders Early Childhood Center , we know that a child's first few years set the stage for the rest of their life. Right here in Brownstown Township, we've built a warm, energetic space where our community's youngest learners get to explore, grow, and just be kids. We are on the lookout for an amazing, highly organized Site Director who is ready to lead our team, elevate our programs, and build genuine connections with our families. What the Role Is All About As our Site Director, you will truly be the heart of Bright Wonders. You're the person who keeps everything running smoothly day-to-day. You'll make sure we're always up to par with Michigan licensing (MiLEAP), support our incredible staff, and be a trusted resource for parents. Ultimately, your goal is to keep our center safe, happy, and thriving—both in our classrooms and in our community enrollment. What You'll Do Every Day (Responsibilities)
Keep Us Safe & Compliant:
You'll run the daily show, making sure our center is always a safe, clean, and welcoming space that easily meets MiLEAP, health department, and fire safety standards.
Lead & Inspire Our Team:
You will screen and mentor our educators. From managing the weekly schedule to cheering on their professional growth, you'll help us maintain a positive, collaborative workplace culture.
Support Great Learning:
You'll oversee our play-based curriculum, ensuring our classrooms are delivering high-quality, age-appropriate learning that helps infants through preschoolers thrive. Connect with
Families:
You'll be the welcoming face of Bright Wonders for Brownstown and Downriver families. You'll lead tours for prospective parents, walk them through enrollment, and handle parent communication with real empathy and professionalism. Handle the
Details:
Behind the scenes, you'll keep child and staff records accurate and organized. You'll also manage the daily budget and supply orders, and use our childcare management software (like Brightwheel/Procare) to keep parent billing and communication seamless. What We Are Looking For (Michigan Director Qualifications):
Option A:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development.
Option B:
Bachelor's degree in a child-related field (Elementary Ed, Child Psychology, Social Work, etc.) with 18 semester hours in ECE/Child Development and 480 hours of verifiable experience.
Option C:
Associate degree in ECE or Child Development with 18 semester hours in ECE and 480 hours of experience.
Option D:
Valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with 18 semester hours of ECE college credits and 960 hours of experience.
Additional Mandatory Requirements:
Administration Credits:
Must have at least 2 semester hours or 3.0 CEUs in child care administration , or a state-approved administrative credential.
Clearances:
Must pass all mandatory Michigan comprehensive background checks, including fingerprinting through MiRegistry.
Certifications:
Current CPR and Pediatric First Aid certifications.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
