Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Daycare Director to lead and manage our vibrant early childhood education center. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children, and foster positive relationships with families and staff. Your leadership will inspire a team dedicated to fostering early childhood development through engaging activities, structured learning, and compassionate caregiving. Responsibilities Supervise daily center operations, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations and safety standards Lead, mentor, and support teaching staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education aligned with developmental best practices Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children's progress and addressing concerns proactively Oversee enrollment processes, including tours, admissions, and maintaining accurate records of attendance and licensing documentation Ensure the safety of all children through vigilant supervision, adherence to health protocols, and emergency preparedness procedures Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and facilitate ongoing professional development opportunities Requirements Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and child supervision Prior experience in daycare center management or as a daycare director preferred Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development theories, and classroom instruction techniques Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child safety regulations Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive, energetic environment focused on growth and learning Demonstrated ability to handle behavior management challenges with patience and professionalism Education and Experience One hundred twenty (120) college semester credits with twenty-four (24) of the credits in child related courses Six (6) of the twenty-four (24) college semester credits may include courses in business or management OR Four (4) years experience with twenty-four (24) college semester credits in child-related courses Six (6) of the twenty-four (24) college semester credits may include courses in business or management
