Early Childhood Director

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the childcare center in compliance with NC Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) licensing standards. Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring professional growth and adherence to best practices in early childhood education. Develop and implement educational programs that align with developmental milestones and center goals. Manage enrollment, maintain records, and build strong relationships with families. Monitor budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation. Conduct regular health, safety, and quality inspections of classrooms and facilities. NC DCDEE

education and experience requirements for a Child Care Administrator/Director, including: Option 1: A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development (or related field with coursework in child development). Option 2: An Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field plus relevant experience. Option 3: NC Early Childhood Administrator Credential Level III. Minimum 2-3 years of leadership/administrative experience in a licensed childcare setting. Strong knowledge of NC childcare licensing laws, regulations, and best practices. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Background check and health assessments required per state regulations.
