A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

Families & Communities Rising, Inc. (FCR) is seeking a dedicated Center Manager to oversee the daily operations of a Head Start/Early Head Start center. This position is ideal for a strong leader who is passionate about supporting children, families, and early childhood professionals.
What You'll Do:
Lead, mentor, and support teachers, family engagement specialists, and center staff Oversee daily center operations, staffing, scheduling, and facilities Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements Monitor classrooms to maintain safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environments Build strong relationships with families and community partners Promote teamwork, professional development, and continuous program improvement
Requirements What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field At least three years of early childhood education experience, including supervisory or management experience Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Head Start or Early Head Start experience is highly desirable Summary Why Join FCR?
