Job Description

Job Summary The Director of the Childcare Center is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations, educational programs, and staff management of the center. This position ensures a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for children while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in education administration, higher education teaching, and working with young children and students. This role offers an opportunity to shape early childhood education programs and lead a dedicated team committed to excellence in childcare. Responsibilities Develop and implement curriculum aligned with educational standards and best practices for early childhood development. Manage daily center operations, including staffing, budgeting, and compliance with licensing regulations. Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment. Establish policies and procedures to ensure safety, health, and well-being of children and staff. Collaborate with parents, community partners, and educational institutions to support children's development and learning outcomes. Monitor program quality through assessments and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure documentation and reporting requirements are met accurately and timely. Promote a positive center culture that encourages diversity, inclusion, and professional growth. Experience Higher education teaching experience is preferred, demonstrating ability to develop educational programs for diverse age groups. Proven background in education administration or leadership within a childcare or early childhood setting. Experience working with students or young children in an educational context is essential. Prior university experience or involvement in higher education institutions will be considered an asset. Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively while maintaining compliance with licensing standards is highly desirable. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to fostering an engaging learning environment for young children while leading a team of educators with professionalism and integrity.
