SCOPE OF WORK
The Early Childhood Education Manager will be responsible for the oversight and implementation of the education objectives for the Standing Rock 0-5 Head Start Program performance standards 1304.21 and Head Start Act.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible to implement educational objectives through established goals, policies, classroom requirements and performance standards. Responsible to ensure each classroom is providing daily activities that support the three domains of CLASS (classroom assessment scoring system) with ongoing assessments, weekly classroom monitoring and providing teaching support and training in the CLASS domains. Responsible for conducting monitoring in the classroom to ensure each center is in compliance with the Curriculum, Head Start Act, Performance Standards and Classroom Assessment Scoring System. Responsible to ensure teaching staff are developing lesson plans that incorporate the Lakota/Dakota history, language and cultural in classroom activities on a daily basis. Responsible to provide direct supervision, monitoring and evaluation of center supervisors-lead teachers and Home Visitors. Responsible to conduct consultation and follow-up to ensure compliance of teacher/child ratios in each classroom. Responsible to maintain annual instruction reports: School Readiness Plan, Education Work Plans with objectives, daily classroom schedules and ensure annual teaching plans are provided to each center before the start of the new school year and ensures each center has updated educational forms. Responsible to prepare and complete annual assessment and inventory of each center's instructional material and equipment to ensure each center has adequate supplies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related education field with two years of administrative and supervisory experience. Valid driver's license
SHIFT:
8:00am-4:30pm
TESTING AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS
Subject to pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing. Tribal, State, and Federal background investigation and MVR screening required.
