Qualifications CPR Certification Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility and accountability for resident care on an assigned unit. This role supervises licensed nurses and direct care staff, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and promotes resident-centered care consistent with facility philosophy and standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance on assigned unit. Ensure care plans are implemented and updated based on resident needs. Monitor documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Respond to resident/family concerns and ensure dignity and resident rights are respected. Support survey readiness and quality assurance activities. Coordinate interdisciplinary care and participate in care planning meetings. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical assessment and supervisory skills. Knowledge of CMS/state regulations and SNF standards. Effective communication and documentation abilities. Organizational and time management skills.
Required:
Graduate of accredited nursing program with current RN or LPN license in Michigan. 2+ years of long-term care or skilled nursing experience.
Preferred:
Prior leadership experience as Charge Nurse or Supervisor. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift 80 -300 lbs with assistance/equipment. Frequent standing, walking, and responding to emergencies.
