What they do
A Preschool or Childcare Director manages and directs programs for very young children. Supervises child care workers and pre-school teachers. Proposes policies, program fees and budgets for approval by a program board or administrative agency or implements policies of a national organization. Meets with parents and staff to discuss the development, learning and behavior of children in the program or center. Orders supplies and monitors maintenance and cleaning at a facility. Ensures that the program or center meets state and federal guidelines.

AlphaBEST Education provides extended day, summer, and enrichment programs that are designed to inspire and engage students while they discover and learn beyond the school day in a fun, safe environment. As an AlphaBEST Site Director , you'll lead a meaningful before and after-school program that helps kids learn, grow, and thrive. We're looking for an early learning professional who: Enjoys working with children in a structured, high-energy environment Feels confident taking the lead and running a smooth program Takes pride in delivering a high-quality student and family experience Takes child safety seriously and follows procedures closely Is flexible, reliable, and ready to jump in wherever needed In this role, you will: Manage the day-to-day operations of the site: schedules, ratios, staffing, and documentation Oversee/facilitate curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations Build a safe and inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards Make child safety the top priority at all times Maintain licensing compliance, documentation, and readiness for inspections Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements Supervise and mentor your site team, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring training requirements are met Represent AlphaBEST with professionalism at school and community events Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success M-F •No weekends!•Here's what you'll need: Must have a Bachelor's degree (in a related field) or equivalent experience Must be at least 21 years old Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by Oregon childcare licensing regulations (CBR #) Provide proof of experience as required by OR childcare licensing standards Why Join Us?
